Very nice! I like the constrasting colors. What's the handle material? Also, are they folded, AKA damascus, pattern welded, etc? I see a pattern on the darker one, but I'm not sure if it's just etch from the finish.

Black one is water buffalo handle, and pattern welded blade. Etched, and then re-done in Ferric Chloride that was used on copper, this re-deposited a little copper on one of the two types of steel.

The white one is straight 1084, with a linen micarta handle. Blade was meant to be bright on this one.

I had been working on the first one, and forged the second to get this picture.

that is down right amazing ... how long is each knife... this is a long shot but what would you charge to forge a second set like this

Send me a note with your contact info. I don't take orders, because work can get in the way, delaying things horribly, but I will take names of people interested in types of knives and contact them if I get a knife that they were interested in.

They are about 5 inches in the handle, and about the same in the blade. I have large hands, and these were meant to fit me.

These are Karambit's. Traditional style for the area around the Philippines. Means tiger's claw, and from the research I did, they used them most of the time for agricultural work, but there is a martial art around them too.

Very nice :trophy:
I can appreciate how hard it is to make the inside arch on these.
